Hello everybody, my name is David. In life I am an Artist and Painter. I “discovered” photography in 2007 but after numerous failed attempts to properly photograph my decorative painting, I decided to dedicate myself to a more proper learning of photography thus little by little I gained my passion for this art also. I love all kinds of photography but my favorite are pictures of Reflections and HDR processing in black and white!
thank you my friends

Philippe Clairo, timeless images and artistry hand in hand!
Posted by Arnaud | Filed under Landscape, Urban
Philippe Clairo (craignos) is our 89th featured artist, an innovative photographer with a certain feel of timelessness to his images! Certainly Philippe’s experience in the multimedia industry has no small part to play in his photographic endeavors! Known to many on the web for his magnificent sceneries and artistry of composition, Philippe is a poet with the camera and won’t disappoint any browse through his photostream!
My Bio:
Born and mainly raised in France, I did grow up in Gabon, Africa, for 4 years until the age of 11. After my graduation in France, I imported myself to Calgary, Canada, where I made a career in Multimedia, to eventually become a video editor for a reputable online marketing agency, thanks to my brother.
It wasn’t until 2006 that I started getting very interested in photography (and especially after few words of encouragement).
I like to capture vast open spaces, and the beauty of the light of the moment. I also like sharpness and details in an image, as long as it doesn’t take away from the poetry that comes out of it.
I don’t pretend to know what I do, but I like to share the best of my work.
Thanks for watching. Philippe.

Our 87th featured artist is Jeff Jacobson from Minneapolis, Minnesota. Jeff is an amazing photographer with a natural style and flair for landscape photography! His breathtaking sceneries and colorful vistas are well composed and full of powerful impact! One can say Jeff brings to us the nostalgia of a world made perfect by it’s beauty!
Artist’s statement:
My name is Jeff Jacobson. I live in the United States. I’m currently living in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Art has always been a passion for me. I was a student of graphic design in my younger days. I am now 34 years old. I picked up photography about 5 years ago. When I first started shooting, I mainly photographed my family and cars. Slowly over time I formed a strong bond with photographing landscapes. Something about the everchanging conditions captivated me. It’s all about being at the right place at the right time. I believe I am finally starting to find my own unique style which is powered by being inspired by a number of photographers. I find most of my photography now coming from my travels. Traveling to places that I want to photograph with a mix of some local stuff also.
I feel honored to be featured to show my work. Hope you all enjoy!

Brizadly Arifin; amazing marvels of the macroscopic world!
Posted by Arnaud | Filed under Macro
Simple things like looking at a bee settle onto a flower or a dragonfly on a leaf we sometimes take for granted. Our eyes skim very briefly on facets of life but sometimes we fail to notice the intricacies that make the wonders of this world so remarkable. Brizadly Arifin is our 86th featured artist, a photographer who delights in just this, bringing to us the marvels of the macroscopic world around us! Be sure to take a moment to enjoy these little bits of life with a walk around Adly’s amazing macro collection!
“My name is Brizadly Arifin but my friends all call me Adly. I come from Jakarta, Indonesia. Photography is one of my hobbies which I initially began when I was in junior high school. After that photography took a back seat among the many other interests that came along in life.
I started photography again in February 2010 and decided to explore the macrophotography world of insects. Before using a macro lens, I began by using an extension tube. I would wake up early everyday racing off hunting for insects in my backyard then get ready to go to work. I did this routine faithfully for 2-3 months every day. In this way I became more and more acquainted with the macro world of insects and their daily habits.
With macrophotography I am happy to be able to share the beauty of insects in their natural habitats in different moments and details of their life cycles. There are so many things about the insect world that is rarely known to us in every detail and that are even acted by us in general. Hopefully my macro photographs can be useful to all of us, especially in maintaining an awareness of their habitat that one can rarely even begin to find in the big cities.
In closing I would like to thank you all for your support as I continue to do my best in this beautiful world of insect macrophotography.
Sincerely,
Adly”

Meet award-winning Australian photographer Kajo Merkert!
Posted by Arnaud | Filed under Architecture, Landscape, Nature, Urban
A talented eye, artistic vision, and skill are only a few of the outstanding qualities of our 85th featured photographer! Kajo Merkert (Kaj0 ) is an award-winning Australian photographer whose ability to consistently deliver first-rate images is recognized both in Australia and abroad! Kajo is another entirely self taught photographer though he has been around cameras from the age of 10! Be prepared for Kajo’s individual artistry and style when browsing his photostream!
Artist’s statement:
As a completely self-taught photographer, I spent a lot of time with film cameras at age 10. Later I realized that it did not fulfill my
visions on a technical level anymore. It was then that I made the leap into the professional photography world. At that time I also founded a website community for passionate amateur photographers MyShots.com, which currently has over 4,000 members.
My first professional camera was the Fujifilm S5 PRO and I have now moved onto a Nikon D300 and a Nikon D700 as of late. My work has been exhibited in various photography magazines around Australia and in the United States, in an exhibition of the Australian Centre for Photography, in the NSW Parliament House and I have been accepted as a member in the world famous Australian Institute of Professional Photography. I had the honour to shoot at the side of Moose Peterson, Laurie Excell, Michael Reichman, Jean Paul Caponigro, Stephen Johnson and other famous American photographers – many of them highly decorated and some being considered to be America’s most important landscape photographers. I also run workshops in Sydney and enjoy teaching photography as much as I enjoy taking photos!
