Our 27th featured photographer Soren Martensen, is a wonder from down-under! Known on flickr as danishpm, Soren is an inspiration, his every capture a splendid unfolding of the beauty of Australia! Indeed, watching his images you will find yourself dreaming!!
“A bit about myself:
I’m Soren Martensen, known on flickr as danishpm – I was born in Denmark in 1958, but moved to, and settled in Northern New South Wales on Australia’s East coast in 1987.
I have always been interested in photography and really enjoy a great image when I see one. I have had many cameras, right back from the film days, but it wasn’t until I got my current DSLR in late 2008, that post-processing really started to capture my interest. Now I go out actively looking for what could become a nice image”.
Some of Soren’s delightful images for your taste!

Gary Randall makes perfect composition a habit and has an innate talent for turning the mundane into a masterpiece!
Posted by Arnaud | Filed under Photographers
Our 28th feature like all great photographers, is an artist with a camera! Gary Randall makes perfect composition a habit and has a innate talent for turning the mundane into a masterpiece!
“I’m a photographer and graphic artist living in the shadow of Mount Hood in Northern Oregon. I’m an anomaly. I’m a Renaissance Man. I’m a professional seeker of love, life, personal expression, fulfillment of purpose, good beer and sweet light.
I’ve been a photographer off and on most of my life. I shoot with a Nikon D90 primarily and process in ACR and finish in CS4. I’m a working photographer and so will shoot anything for a buck, but I love landscape photography and the freedom that it allows in the necessity to frequent beautiful places at beautiful times frequently.
I still shoot film through an old F body and am shooting with an old medium format Kodak Brownie in preparation to developing Tri-X again. Some old habits just don’t die.
I appreciate any an all who take the time to view my work, and am thankful for those that are moved enough to take their time to comment on them.
If you see anything that I’ve done that you are curious of, please ask. I’m glad to give advice if I know the answer.
Thank you.
Gary” =0)

One of the most renowned landscape artists in the world, Bill Wight is a legend with the camera!
Posted by Arnaud | Filed under Landscape
Our 22nd featured artist has no need for introduction! Bill Wight is indeed one of the most renowned landscape artists in the world!
Bill was born in southern California and began his life-long love of photography when he joined the photography club at his high school. A guest speaker gave a talk to the class one day on landscape photography and Bill was hooked. Bill studied under a student of Ansel Adams and that great artist’s work has influenced Bill’s photography ever since. Bill was also greatly influenced by the nature photography of Galen Rowell.
After giving up on making a living as a photographer, Bill went on to have a career in product development and operations management. Now retired and living in Rancho Cucamonga, CA, Bill spends much of his time on photography–capturing images, post-processing and writing.
Through his photographs exhibited on Flickr, many of his contacts kept asking if he ever gave photography lessons. So Bill created Mountain High Workshops to fill this need. Bill licenses his landscape images world-wide and has had his photographs in several publications, including Popular Photography magazine.
Bill is not a landscape photo journalist intent on capturing reality, but considers himself to be a “landscape photography artist“. His goal in landscape photography is to take the very best shot in the field and then to present that image to the viewer with the most impact possible.
Bill currently shoots with a Nikon D300 and uses Photoshop CS5 and Photomatix Pro for his post-processing.
Some comments about Bill’s work:
“I must say the Bill is one of the most consistently excellent photographers I have ever seen. His work is incredible! I have met National Geographic staff photographers, and include a Pulitzer Prize winning photographer as a friend. Bill’s work exceeds the quality of any work I have seen.“
“His photos are beyond stunning. Truly a remarkable photographer!“
“I came to know Bill very recently in Flickr, he commented one of my photos….when I went to see his photostream, especially his landscapes….it’s mind-blowing….speechless beauty and marvelous processing and framing…..I do visit his stream quite regularly and get inspired from his vision, technique and ideas.“

A Guy With a Camera, Wolfgang Schlegl’s remarkable style and photographic techinque is testimony to the deep sentiments he “feels” in his capture of the world around him!
Posted by Arnaud | Filed under Landscape, Urban
Wolfgang Schlegl, otherwise known on flickr as A Guy With a Camera, is a self taught amateur from Sherwood Park, Alberta Canada. A natural talent, his remarkable style and photographic technique is testimony to the deep sentiments he “feels” in his capture of the world around him!
Artist’s statement:
A guy with a camera! I’ve seen these things and been to these place’s. This is the country in which I live. These are photo’s of things that interest me, and hopefully others will enjoy! Of course all of this started when I bought a digital camera, to compliment my computer addiction!
I’ve only been into photography for about 4 years and just recently bought some good equipment. I love the outdoors and am always looking for photographic opportunities. I really enjoy the Flickr community and love looking at all the talented work on display. Because of Flickr I have had many pictures published including album covers, books and magazines, and have won many photo contests from the exposure it has given me. Photography is the best hobby and I look forward to many more years of Picture taking! And I, like everyone else, want to share my photo’s with the world! Enjoy!
