Meet AnNamir, a photographer with the perfect mix of talent, class and style !
Posted by Arnaud | Filed under Action, Architecture, Landscape, Macro, Nature, Portrait, Urban
Introducing our 116th featured artist Muktasyaf Ibrahim AnNamir (AnNamir) a photographer with the perfect mix of talent, class and style ! Indeed, whether it be candid portrait, amazing macro, or fabulous high speed photography every shot is a visually stunning work of art! Need inspiration?….AnNamir’s photostream is one you definitely wouldn’t want to miss!
Info about AnNamir مكـتــشــــــف إبراهيم الرفــاعى and his work:
Hi, my name is Muktasyaf Ibrahim AnNamir. I’m a teacher with a great passion for photography. I was born in Kuala Lipis, Malaysia 34 years ago and currently live and work in Kuala Kubu Bharu, Malaysia. I began to get to know the real world of photography around the middle of 2008. Starting from zero, I really did not know anything about ISO, Aperture, or even Shutter Speed. I learned a lot about photography from the Flickr community as there’s so many outstanding and inspiring fellow photographers here in Flickr. I also learned a lot from my fellow friends in Malaysia and well up on some local forums on photography. Thank you guys
I am particularly interested in landscape photography and nature. I am also interested in candid and macro shots. For those who would like to know, there is only a kit lens in my bag with a 50mm f1.8 lens and a macro filter. Also one 3D lens for capturing 3D stereography, but I prefer the kit lens for my stereography photos.
I still need guidance and inspiration from you all to strengthen my knowledge of photography. Last but not least: It will not be exhausted to learn until you return to your Creator. So “Seek knowledge from the cradle to the grave!”
Here are 18 of my personal favorites:

Photographer Adam Randell! A look at the world in a completely different way!
Posted by Arnaud | Filed under Action, Landscape, Macro, Wedding
Photography is a very powerful medium and an addictive craft! Our 100th featured artist Adam Randell, knows all about this first hand! This talented Australian photographer has an extraordinary eye for landscape photography and though Adam started out late in the medium he is already an emerging talent in the field! Please explore the further work of this excellent photographer by browsing through his photostream!
Artist’s statement:
Having been involved in photography as a hobby for a mere 2 years, it has been a steep learning curve, but as with anything I take on in life it has become a passion (some would say obsession!). Living in the small town of Gympie on the east coast of Australia with my wife & daughter, I have centered my photography mostly along the picturesque coastline & creeks of the area, rarely finding the time (or funds) to venture beyond has encouraged me to look closely at the beauty of the area.
My preference for landscape & seascape is clearly visible in my images, however given the chance to have my camera in hand, I will pretty much have a go at anything, from action to wedding & even macro. I began with a Canon 400D twin lens kit, but soon felt the need to upgrade & now shoot with a Canon 50D. My favourite lens is a Canon 10-22, but my kit also includes a Tamron 90mm macro & 70-200, a Sigma 24-70 & what would I be without a 50mm prime in my kit. I also use Cokin P filters & just recently acquired a Singh-Ray 3stop reverse grad. I’d love to make the step to full frame by the end of this year, likely to a 5DMKII.
Until 2 years ago I had never heard of Flickr & soon discovered what a great learning tool it is & have made many friends the world over, they are true inspiration & I thank them for the continued improvement in my photography. I now look at the world in a completely different way, when I look at the sky I see the clouds in detail & I eagerly await every trip to the coast.

Talent, skill and good fun is what JaveFoto is all about!
Posted by Arnaud | Filed under Action, Landscape, Nature, Photographers, Portrait, Urban
What’s our 84th featured photographer doing recently? Having fun with photography of course! Jave Acosta (JaveFoto) is a dedicated “light chaser”, a natural when it comes to color and composition and although Jave is undoubtedly a natural with the camera, he leaves no shot to mere chance, carefully thinking out each angle before the final click! Jave’s talent, skill and good fun is an excellent combination don’t you all think?
Jave Acosta (JaveFoto) was born and raised in California and currently resides in the San Francisco Bay Area. Through landscape photography, Jave has been able to combine his love of the outdoors and his desire to capture its beauty. His approach is to take the viewer with him as he captures the scene as he sees it. Jave’s goal is to find a well thought out composition in every landscape scene. He is completely self-taught in both the field shooting and in post processing.
Thanks for your visit and look forward to learning and being inspired by you all! Happy shooting. Jave

- Info about me and my work:
“I’m a Belgian visual creator (drawing, photography, painting). I was born in the Ivory Coast and currently live and work in Brussels. I have a degree in journalism but never really worked in that field. I briefly studied graphic arts and sculpture but I’m mainly a self-taught artist. My creations are being exhibited in art galleries in Belgium and in the United States.
I’ve recently developed two series that have had a good reception in the art community: “Pencil Vs Camera” and “Digital Circlism”. The first is a combination of drawing and photography, the second a digital way of making images with thousands of flat circles. Graphic creation is a true passion, one of the reasons and meanings of my existence.
Feel free to send any question or suggestion at my personal email address as well:
